Run on Banks Begins — Deutsche Bank Clients Begin Withdrawing Excess Cash

deutsche-bankBy Matt Agorist

As the Free Thought Project reported Thursday, the most prominent bank in Germany is at risk of failure, with potentially profound effects for the EU, the United States and likely the rest of the world. This risk of failure has now gotten so threatening that a number of funds that clear derivatives trades with Deutsche Bank AG have withdrawn excess cash and positions held at the lender, according to Bloomberg.

While the vast majority of the bank’s more than 200 derivatives-clearing clients have made no changes, the hedge funds run on cash highlights serious concern. The paranoia of an imminent collapse spread to the US on Thursday as 10 hedge funds that are Deutsche Bank clients have decided to withdraw cash and listed derivatives positions from the bank, according to a Bloomberg News report.

Millennium Partners, Capula Investment Management and Rokos Capital Management are among about 10 hedge funds that have cut their exposure, said a person familiar with the situation who declined to be identified talking about confidential client matters.

The hedge funds use Deutsche Bank to clear their listed derivatives transactions because they are not members of clearinghouses. Millennium, Capula and Rokos declined to comment when contacted by phone or e-mail.

These funds use Deutsche Bank’s prime brokerage to clear their derivatives trades, reports Bloomberg. They post collateral as a sort of insurance in case they run into trouble — but now they appear to worry that Deutsche Bank is the one in trouble. So they are withdrawing some of their derivatives holdings and excess collateral above what Deutsche Bank requires them to hold.

As Zero Hedge points out, this massive withdrawal of cash has led to a sharp increase in short-term CDS.

“Our trading clients are amongst the world’s most sophisticated investors,” Michael Golden, a spokesman for Deutsche Bank, said in an e-mailed statement.

“We are confident that the vast majority of them have a full understanding of our stable financial position, the current macroeconomic environment, the litigation process in the U.S. and the progress we are making with our strategy.”

But this is simply not true. Deutsche Bank is anything but stable as their shares have fallen sharply on the news that German Chancellor Angela Merkel won’t bail them out. Its shares fell by as much as six percent in early Monday trading, making it the worst performance since 1992. Since January, the bank’s shares have lost over 52 percent of their value.

As news of the bank run spread on Thursday, the ‘stable’ bank’s shares declined below 10 euros for the first time. The lender’s 1.75 billion euros ($2 billion) of 6 percent additional Tier 1 bonds, the first notes to take losses in a crisis, fell as much as five cents on the euro to 69 cents, a record low, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

“The issue here is now one of confidence,” said Chris Wheeler, a financial analyst with Atlantic Equities LLP in London. “That’s what’s going on here. The thinking is ‘Deutsche Bank is fine, but there’s a slim chance it might not be, so why leave my money in there?’”

The possibility of depositors having their funds taken from them as the bank collapses is not at all isolated as it has happened before. As we pointed out, to keep the bank solvent, the Bank of Cyprus took almost 40% of depositors’ funds – leaving customers with essentially nothing they could do about having their money stolen. Assets were frozen and ATM machines were not refilled.

As Jay Syrmopoulos points out, the collapse of Deutsche Bank would most likely begin a cascade of Western banking institutions falling like dominoes (which could include Barclays in London and CitiGroup in the U.S.). According to same expert who valued Lehman’s worth at its collapse, Deutsche Bank’s current value of $1 trillion dollars is significantly more than Lehman Brothers’ valuation during their collapse in 2008.

The graphic below shows the severity of the impact and implications for contagion a Deutsche Bank implosion would have.

screen-shot-2016-09-29-at-10-36-42-amIn fact, the contagion has already begun. News that some hedge funds were pulling positions and excess collateral from Deutsche Bank caused shares of U.S. banks to quickly reverse early gains, according to Bloomberg.

capture91But don’t worry, just as Lehman Brothers maintained in the beginning of 2008 that everything was fine and dandy, Deutsche Bank is doing the same.

In a memo to staff published on Friday, as reported by Bloomberg, Deutsche Bank Chief Executive Officer John Cryan responded to what he called media speculation causing some “unjustified concerns,” saying that the bank’s balance sheet has never been more stable over the past two decades.

“Ongoing rumors are causing significant swings in our stock price,” he wrote. “It’s our task now to prevent distorted perception from further interrupting our daily business. Trust is the foundation of banking. Some forces in the markets are currently trying to damage this trust.”

However, even the IMF has called their bluff, noting that “Deutsche Bank appears to be the most important net contributor to systemic risks.”

Nice Attacks, Destroying Evidence at Crime Scene

Nice attack2

A report in 21st of July edition of Le Figaro newspaper states that France’s anti-terrorist executive ( sous-direction anti-terroriste- SDAT) has ordered Nice’s urban surveillance authorities to destroy all CCTV footage of the Nice Attacks on Bastille Day that rocked the city on the 14th of July 2016.

Although SDAT have cited articles 53 and L706-24 of the prosecution procedure and article R642-1 of the penal code, authorities in Nice interviewed by Le Figaro say that it is the first time they have ever been asked to destroy evidence at a crime scene – something they point out is illegal.

The explanation given by the French Ministry of Justice is that they don’t want ‘uncontrolled’ and ‘non-authorised (non maîtrisée) diffusion of the images of the terrorist attacks. The Judicial Police have noted that 140 videos of the attacks in their possession show ‘important pieces of the inquiry’ (éléments d’enquête intéressants). The French government claims it wants to prevent ISIS from gaining access to videos of the attacks for the purposes of propaganda. They also claim that the destruction of evidence is intended to protect the families of the victims. The comments section of the Le Figaro article is replete with outrage and disgust by the fact that the French government, instead of preserving evidence for the purposes of a thorough, independent investigation, is in fact behaving rather more like the chief suspect in the attack – ordering the destruction of vital evidence.

There is something rotten in France’s Judicial Police. Shortly after the Charlie Hebdo attacks on the 7th of January 2015, the judicial police behaved suspiciously before and as they did after the ‘suicide’ of Limoge’s deputy Police Commissioner Helric Fredou. Fredou was found dead shortly after the arrival of the French Judicial Police to his office in Limoges shortly after the Charlie Hebdo massacre. His family were not allowed see his body for 24 hours after his death; they suspect foul play. The Judicial Police claimed he had shot himself in the head, though his mother said she did not see evidence of this. The police commissioner was said to be suffering from depression, a claim denied by the family doctor. Fredou was found dead in his office before the publication of a report on the relationship between Jeanette Bougrab, a former press secretary of Nicolas Sarkozy, and one of the deceased in the attack, Stéphane Charbonnier

He was found dead in his office before the publication of a report on the relationship between Jeanette Bougrab, a former press secretary of Nicolas Sarkozy, and one of the deceased in the attack, Stéphane Charbonnier known as ‘Charb’. The relationship between Bougrab, who is close to all the leaders of the French Zionist movement, and Charb, was one of the most controversial aspects of the Charlie Hebdo massacre story. Fredou was also investigating the background of the Kouachi brothers who were accused of the massacre. They had lived in the town of Limoges.

An article in France’s l’Est Républicain newspaper attempts to reassure the public of the French government’s bona fides with the title ‘No, the footage of the attack has not been deleted’. The report asserts that the Ministry of Justice have not ordered the destruction of evidence but just the deletion of the images from the cameras in Nice. This reassurance might be enough to placate those who are loathe to question the narrative of the war on terror. But, as the recent booing of French Prime Minister Manuel Valls in Nice showed, the French people are waking up.

Now France’s Judicial Police and anti-terrorist authorities want to destroy evidence of the attacks. In most crime cases, those who destroy or seek to destroy evidence are usually trying to cover something up. I have already pointed out some of the inconsistencies in the story we have been told about the Nice massacre. I have not claimed nothing happened or no one was killed but rather that the video evidence so far presented does not match the story. Perhaps new video evidence proving the government’s story will emerge. Let’s hope so! If researchers and journalists with a proven record of peace advocacy and a passion for truth and honesty in reporting were to gain access to those videos, ISIS would be weakened not strengthened.

But we would be naive to believe the French government intends to weaken ISIS, given the incontrovertibly proven fact that they support the child-murdering head choppers in Syria. While some will find their comfort zones and systems justification syndrome perturbed by this information, many more will simply fall back to sleep.Falling asleep is easier in the short term but in time people will realise that the mattress is being pulled from under them, so that when they wake up in terrible discomfort, it will be too late. It’s time to wake up!

9 Dead In “Suspected Terror Attack” Shooting Spree In Munich, Germany

Police evacuate two Munich train stations, citing militant threatBy Brandon Turbeville

Nine people are confirmed dead in Munich as a citywide manhunt continues at “high speed” for suspects who committed an attack that is being labeled “suspected terrorism” at the Olympia Mall according to Munich authorities.

The attack took place on Friday at the Olympia Mall where as many as three gunmen entered the shopping center and opened fire at passersby apparently at random.

As The Washington Post reports:

An employee inside the mall, who would give only her first name, Sabiha, said she saw a gunman open fire outside her clothing store. The assailant — described as about 6-foot-1 and wearing a black shirt and “some kind of vest” — moved through the corridors before leaving the building, Sabiha told The Washington Post.

Sabiha said she saw at least two people killed and one injured.

“I was lucky because he shot toward the other directions, not mine,” she said, speaking from a hiding spot inside a storage room in the store.

A video clip posted on Twitter showed a gunman opening fire outside a McDonald’s near the shopping complex as people dashed for cover. The man appeared to fire on passersby with a handgun, seemingly at random.

A police statement sent by Twitter urged people near the site to remain in their homes.

A similar announcement was issued by the U.S. Consulate in Munich, which reported “shots fired at multiple locations in Munich.” It advised U.S. citizens to “shelter in place pending police announcements that the situation is under control.”

At this point, German authorities are not saying whether they believe the attack to be of the Islamic fundamentalist variety but they are keeping the possibility open. Not only that but they are stating that there is the possibility that this attack was carried out by “right wing extremists” who are upset over Germany’s immigration policies.

According to The Washington Post, a message was posted online from an apparent Islamic State account stating: “Nowhere is safe for all of you. You people have opened the doors of hell by declaring war on us.” Still, ISIS did not officially declare responsibility for the attack as the organization did after the recent axe attack on a train in southern Germany on Monday. For this reason, the attack is not being attributed to the Western-backed and Western-created terrorist organization.Munich police have declared the situation an “acute terrorist situation.”

Still, there are now suggestions coming from German and international mainstream media outlets that the attack was of the “right wing extremist” variety due to a statement allegedly made by one of the shooters where he says, “I am a German.”

Of course, the shooter may well have been a native right wing German or he may also have been a second generation Muslim immigrant. He may also have been a combination of the two with aggravating mental issues. At this point, we simply don’t know.

However, Sky News has released a transcript of the dialogue between the shooter and a man on balcony.

The transcript is as follows:

Balcony Man: “You f****** a****** you…”

Shooter: “Because of you I [unintelligible]…”

Balcony Man: “You *** you. you’re a ****.”

Shooter: “…and now I have to buy a gun to shoot you.”

Balcony Man: “a gun – f*** off your head isn’t on right.”

Shooter and Balcony Man shouting at each other.

Balcony Man apparently to people filming: “He’s got a gun here the guy has one.”

Balcony Man: “F****** foreigners.”

Balcony Man to someone else : “Ey! He’s got a gun. He has loaded his gun! Get the cops here!”

Shooter: “I am German.”

Balcony Man: “You’re a **** is what you are.”

Shooter: “Stop filming!”

Balcony Man: “A **** is what you are, what the f*** are you doing?”

Shooter: “Yeah what, I was born here!”

Balcony Man: “Yeah and what the f*** you think you’re doing?”

Shooter: “I grew up here in the Hartz 4 (unemployment benefits in Germany) area.

Balcony Man and Shooter talk at same time (unintelligible).

Shooter says something about “Behandlung” which means “treatment”.

Balcony Man says something like, “Yeah treatment is something for you.”

Shooter: “I haven’t done anything here for [unintelligible]. Just shut your f****** face man.”

Balcony Man: “You **** you.”

Balcony Man: “Hey! He’s on the upper floor here [unintelligible].”

Filming man goes into cover, shooter starts firing.

Balcony Man calls him a “****” again.

Balcony Man shouts something at him about “shooting here” and shooter replies multiple times, “Yeah, that’s where you’re right! Yeah you’re right with that! Yeah you’re right!”

Video taken from the attack has also been posted by RT which can be viewed here.

Other reports have witnesses saying that the shooter screamed “Allahu Akbar!

If the attack was indeed motivated by a hatred of refugees and immigrants it seems a strange method of expressing it by shooting other Germans as opposed to the population of people that is the target of hatred. Likewise, screaming “Allahu Akbar!” is a bit out of character for a right winger in Germany.

It should be noted also that, as the shooter and the man on the balcony argue, the balcony man says “fucking foreigners” as an insult to the shooter suggesting that the shooter appeared to look like something other than an ethnic German. The shooter then replies that he is German was born in the Hartz 4 area ( a reference to Germany’s Hartz 4 unemployment system that artificially deflates real unemployment numbers and forces many workers to work for private companies in order to receive unemployment benefits).

Still, we must be clear that, at this point, this situation is still developing. We will continue to monitor the crisis as it unfolds.

The attacks in Munich come on the heels of the attack in Nice, another instance in which questions surround the event pointing to both the possibility of a false flag event, terrorist act, or an actual act of random psychologically induced violence.

Even a Tyrannical Government Can’t Protect You From Lone-Wolf Truck Drivers

As the Problem-Reaction-Solution (Nice edition) plays out as expected, it is time to remind ourselves: The government is not your daddy and it will not protect you from the boogeyman. The government creates the boogeyman to scare you. Giving more power to the government in the wake of every tragedy only incentivizes them to terrorize you further.

How the Nice Tragedy Will Be Used to Bolster War, Usurp Freedom, and Create More Terrorism

nice-attacksBy Claire Bernish

At least 84 people were killed when an attacker plowed through a crowd gathered in Nice, France, for Bastille Day festivities.

As the country and world reel in shock, French President François Hollande already claims the purposeful mowing down of dozens to be a likely act of terrorism.

“The terrorist nature of the attack cannot be denied,” Hollande said early Friday. “We must show absolute vigilance and determination. All of France is under the threat of Islamic terrorism.”

Three days have been set aside to mourn victims of the horrific act, which happened as crowds assembled along Promenade des Anglais in advance of a fireworks display.

One witness, who said attendees had set off their own small fireworks throughout the day, described the scene prior to the attack as ‘jovial’ and ‘upbeat,’and told the Guardian:

After being there for a little over ten minutes, we heard what sounded like fireworks going off and then heard screaming. All of a sudden, there were hundreds of panic-stricken people running our way and it was clear that if we did not move, we would get trampled. So we started running as fast as we could while having no idea what was going on.

Two Americans from the Austin, Texas, area — father and son Sean and Brodie Copeland — were among the dead, though most victims are believed to be French citizens.

Police ultimately shot the driver of the truck to halt the carnage. In the aftermath, authorities identified the attacker as Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, a Tunisian who had a French visa and lived in Nice — and a petty criminal and delivery driver.

Once again, the West struggles to cope with an attack civilians in some areas of the Middle East have become all-too familiar with.

But something the West has come to expect in the wake of such tragedies — increased Police State-like surveillance, controls, security, and altogether lessened freedoms for everyone — is already taking hold.

A seething undercurrent of bigoted animosity wrests reason from the minds of politicians and large segments of the public, as the need to blame begins to usurp logical, cool-headed debate over how, precisely, to react to a vicious attack like the one in Nice.

Wariness should rule such conversations; but reactionary emotions instead have a penchant for taking precedence.

Indeed, though vigilance must be heightened now — it shouldn’t be aimed solely at the vagaries of a terrorist threat. If freedom teeters on the brink, now would be the tipping point.

And it’s already received a push from Hollande who announced the continuance of France’s hotly-contended state of emergency, first declared after 77 people perished in the November 2015 attacks in Paris.

That state of emergency grants the government broad and sweeping overreach into the private lives of citizens. Though initiated within hours of the November 13 attacks, the state of emergency has been extended several times to the consternation of many — and Bouhlel just provided an excuse to allow Hollande to give it three more months.

Police State opportunism abounds, as politicians race to constrict basic rights in the wake of tragedy; and though Americans have a fondness for deluding themselves into thinking, ‘it couldn’t happen here,’ they would be well-advised to reflect on the conditions the French will have to endure for yet another three months. The Guardian reported in April:

The special emergency measures allow police to conduct house raids and searches without a warrant or judicial oversight, including at night, and give extra powers to officials to place people under house arrest outside the normal judicial process. It also allows for restrictions on large gatherings.

Several things bear scrutiny. Though opinion polls, dubious as they may be, found most people in France have no problem with such constrictions of their rights, protests against the continued state of emergency have been marked with minor violent outbursts as many believe the measures both needless and futile against the terrorism they putatively aim to thwart. Considering a truck driver just plowed through scores of people celebrating Bastille Day without alerting French intelligence ahead of time, those concerns are only marginally up for debate.

French citizens originally welcomed the state of emergency’s illusory protections with open arms under the false pretense it would be lifted after three months’ time — obviously, governmental control clamps down more readily than it eases. Here we are, eight months later, and another three-month extension just got the green light.

Human rights groups, lawyers, and advocates have variously warned “the lack of clarity and precision of several provisions of the state of emergency and surveillance laws” could lead to abuse and that it “seriously impacts public freedoms.”

But, what about the terrorists? Apparently, Nice proves that point moot.

But that’s France … we’re still free here. Are you sure?

Though thousands of miles and a sizable ocean away, the assault on Nice immediately reverberated in telling ways in the United States.

The NYPD deployed its dystopically-monikered, heavily-armed ‘Hercules team’ to patrol the French consulate when news of the attack reached New York. A local NBC affiliate reported increased police presence in heavily-trafficked areas and “Gov. Cuomo directed state law enforcement officials to step-up security at high-profile locations around the state, including airports, bridges, tunnels and mass transit systems.”

Perhaps that’s just a taste of what’s to come, considering the U.S. is still embroiled in contention over the epidemic of police violence — and the subsequent attack on police in Dallas, not to mention the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

In fact, all the violence and nationwide protests spawned an expansion of nobody’s favorite legislation but the government’s: the PATRIOT Act. It wouldn’t be difficult to surmise the U.S. government waits breathlessly for the other shoe to drop in order to slip further surveillance and other security measures past the public when panic makes such legislation an appetizing palliative.

After all, the attacks of September 11th gave rise to mass surveillance, quickened the militarization of police, and birthed indefinite detention, all of which have been impossible to rein in or reform in any meaningful way — much less reverse in full.

Though former House Speaker Newt Gingrich might himself be a moot point, the politician didn’t hesitate after the Nice incident to call for an impossibly oppressive and outright bigoted policy targeting Muslim Americans.

“Western civilization is in a war,” Gingrich declared to Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “We should frankly test everyone here who is of a Muslim background and if they believe in sharia they should be deported.”

Even corporate media giant the Washington Post flatly derided Gingrich’s flagrant distortion of what would be allowed by the Constitution, pointing out such a policy would directly violate both the First and Fourteenth Amendments.

But to imagine such scaremongering wouldn’t have the desired effect of manipulating a nervous people into undesirable and irreversible policy would be naive.

Just ask the French.

Now is not the time to willingly fork over what few freedoms remain in the name of a murky threat. Now is the time, however, to train our gaze on our impossibly opportunistic legislators.

Nice Attacks: Trigger for Civil War in France and Military Escalation in Syria?

The death toll from the Nice attacks on the 14th of July, 2016 is rising. Latest reports suggest 84 deaths and possibly one hundred more injured. There have been reports of gunfire and the driver of the truck which drove into the crowd near the beach in Nice is reported to have been shot dead. Once again (as with the Charlie Hebdo and Bataclan attacks) there is no-one to stand trial and truthfully answer the questions that need to be asked – who and why?

At this point, there is not much that can be verified about the attack. One cannot exclude the possibility that it may have simply been the action of an insane individual. Atrocities of that type are rare but have happened in the past. But there is, however, the strong suggestion and indeed likelihood that this atrocity is a terrorist attack by ‘Islamists’.

So, what does all this mean?

‘Civil War’

French domestic intelligence (DGSI) chief Patrick Calvar warned on the 26th of June 2016 that an ‘Islamist’ attack on French children would be the trigger for a ‘civil war.’ He said France was currently on the brink of that civil war.

Calvar also predicted that ISIS (Da’esh) would use ‘trucks as weapons.’ It is not unusual in the never-ending war on terror to hear accurate predictions by intelligence officials before attacks, with the same officials seemingly powerless to prevent them.

This ‘uncanny coincidence’ could be the defining event of our time.

French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls is on record stating that the state of emergency in France would be permanent. There has been increasing pressure on the Hollande regime in France to change course in the Middle East. Attempts to reconcile with Russia and lift the sanctions have been blocked by Hollande and Valls, who are puppets of the Jewish Lobby. The Zionists want to continue the war on Syria, Iran and Russia. The Zionists have full control over US/NATO policy. Therefore, the ‘war on terror’, which was created as a pretext to further Zionist geopolitical interests, must be continued.

I believe this is the trigger for a civil war French intelligence warned us about. The question is  whether the war will become high intensity or continue on a relatively low-intensity trajectory. There have been police ‘whistleblowers’ in France who have warned of huge caches of arms in major cities, capable of arming hundreds of thousands of men. However, one must be cautious in referring to such ‘whistleblowers’ who have  proven to be highly unreliable and may be spreading disinformation.

In any case, the public’s belief that we are in a ‘state of war’ and that all military interventions abroad are therefore necessary will be enough to make citizens look to the state for protection – an oligarchic state which is currently pursuing a brutal class war against workers.

As 90 percent or more of intelligence operations today involve media disinformation, we cannot possibly assume that any of the reports we are hearing are accurate. However, it is hard to see how a psyop could have been carried out in the Promenade des Anglais which is so central in Nice. What we can say for sure is that the attack serves the two constants of the war on terror dialectic. The narrative would read as follows:

1:  Make the state of emergency permanent, empowering the oligarchic state and further demoralising citizens by dividing the working class along religious and racial lines. This is part of NATO’s ‘strategy of tension’ in accordance with the longstanding intelligence operation Gladio. Citizens must turn to the anti-social state for ‘security’, thus precluding social revolt.

2:  Justify an all out attack on Syria to finish the job of destroying Arab civilisation, in accordance with Zionism’s geopolitical interests. Only the willfully ignorant could possibly believe that ISIS is an enemy of France when the French have never had better relations with the country which openly backs them – Saudi Arabia. The intelligence reports, declassified documents and admissions of the highest officials of the French and American governments all confirm that ISIS is Israel’s Arab legion.

Both those two above-mentioned goals serve Zionism and until the French people liberate themselves from its yoke, Zionism will continue to poison the minds of men, making them consent to policies that no honest and compassionate human being would countenance. An awakening of working-class militancy is occurring but the labour movement in France remains divided and led by social-democratic reformists.

Now, more than ever,  seeing the link between terrorism and class war is essential if any political and social change is to occur. In an era of high-finance treason, oligarchy, austerity, and the triumph of avarice, terror increasingly becomes a feature of the normal rather than an exceptional exercise of state power.

Yanis Varoufakis on the European Constitution, Economic Disintegration and Orwellianism

varafoukis europeBy Niklas Stephenson

In this video the former finance minister of Greece and founder of DiEM25 (Democracy in Europe Movement 2025), Yanis Varoufakis, provides us insights into why the European constitution does not represent European citizens and lacks democratic substance. He also talks about the disintegration of the European Union, what forces are driving its demise and how Orwellian language is used to hide this.

  • Does Europe have a constitution that represents the will of the people?
  • What observations are indicating towards the disintegration of the European Union?
  • In what form is Orwellianism employed to provide the superficial appearance of progressive reform?

These questions and more are addressed in the video below:

Brexit Aftermath – Here’s What Will Happen Next

brexit aftermath

In my article ‘Brexit: Global Trigger Event, Fake Out Or Something Else?‘, published before the U.K. referendum vote, I outlined numerous reasons why I believed the Brexit was likely to pass. As far as I know, I was one of very few analysts that stuck to my call of a successful Brexit right up until the day of the referendum instead of slowly backing away as the pressure of conflicting polls increased. My prediction was verified that evening.

In my post-Brexit commentary, which can be read here, I then outlined why so many analysts in the mainstream and even in the liberty movement were caught completely unaware by the referendum results. Today, however, I now see hundreds of analysts using the same talking points I argued before the Brexit, but still missing the first and most VITAL underlying truth.  The core reason why I was able to discern the Brexit outcome was because I accepted the reality that the Brexit does not hurt globalists — in the long run, it actually helps them.

Now, I fully understand the excitement surrounding this event.  For many people it was a complete surprise because they assumed that international financiers and the ever-pervasive global elites would do anything to stop it from happening. It feels like a kind of revolution; a pointy stick in the eye of the beast. While I applaud the people of the U.K. for their ongoing battle for sovereignty, I can assure you that the Brexit is NOT an obstacle to the plans of globalists.

What is rather amazing to me is the number of people that, before the referendum vote, were arguing that the elites would “never allow” the Brexit to continue and were thoroughly convinced they would use their influence to disrupt it.  Now, in the face of a successful vote, those same people now argue that the elites had no influence over the Brexit, and do not benefit from its passage.

I would remind readers that it was actually “pro-EU” globalist puppet David Cameron himself that presented the prospect of a referendum to exit the EU.  While some may argue this was bungling on the part of Cameron, I think this is a rather foolish notion.  Cameron does what he is told like every other elitist-owned politician.  Furthermore, the behavior of internationalists leading up to the Brexit was rather strange, hinting to me that they were preparing for a Brexit surprise.

Globalist financiers like George Soros jumped into the markets and bet in favor of stocks going negative, indicating prior knowledge.  Hilariously, Soros’ advisers are now playing damage control by claiming that Soros “lost money” on bets on the English Pound.  While they admit he did “make profits” on all of his other investments due to the Brexit, they will not say what the magnitude of those investments were, nor have they provided evidence supporting any of the information they have given to the media on his losses on the Pound.  Truly, a slapdash lazy play at spin control.

The Federal Reserve’s Janet Yellen used the Brexit as the primary reason for the latest rate hike delay, mentioning that such conditions may have influence “for some time to come.”  This indicates she may have had prior knowledge of its coming passage.

And the world’s central bankers all convened in Basel, Switzerland to take marching orders from their masters at the Bank for Internationals Settlements right before Brexit voting commenced, something they most likely would not do if the Brexit was destined to fail rather than prevail.

Not only did the globalists through David Cameron originally introduce the concept of the Brexit vote, they also apparently knew that the U.K. referendum would succeed.

As I originally stated in my prediction article:

…the failure of the EU does not necessarily mean a failure for the internationalists. For groups of globalists that promote an ideology of Fabian Socialism, a breakdown of the EU, whether partial or total, can be used as leverage for a larger and more centralized global power structure in the long term. Mark my words, when the system comes crashing down (whether after the Brexit or after another trigger event), internationalists will say that the EU failed not because it was centralized, but because it was not centralized ENOUGH.

If the Brexit succeeds, the globalists can allow the market systems they have been inflating for years to finally crash (at the speed they choose). They can then blame those dastardly “far-Right extremists” in the U.K. for triggering a domino effect within the global financial system, conveniently scapegoating British conservatives, moderates and sovereigns for a breakdown that was going to happen eventually anyway. Their solution will once again be to argue for the end of “barbaric” conservative principles and install complete centralization and socialism as the cure.

Already, this narrative is being presented by internationalists in the aftermath of the referendum.

Bloomberg writes that the Brexit “casts a dark shadow on the world’s great move to openness,” as if globalism is a bastion principle of free markets rather than the murderer of free markets and the outright tyrannical socialization and centralization of everything.  European elites are out in droves admonishing the Brexit as a move towards dangerous nationalism and isolationism. The Chinese premier is in the media warning of a “butterfly effect” in global markets caused by instability in “certain countries,” obviously referring to the U.K. and the EU.  His solution?  He wants even more “enhanced coordination” among all the economies of the world (Interpretation: more centralization).

EU officials only continue to strengthen my predictions by calling for an EU superstate in response to the Brexit; in other words, a completely centralized Europe.

And, Bloomberg has reported on Mario Draghi’s recent call for a “new world order” in response to the UK referendum in which central bank policies around the globe are completely coordinated.  Bloomberg removed the word “NEW” from the article’s title an hour after it was published.  Go figure; I guess mentioning the “new world order” was just a little too honest.

Of course, Draghi does not mention that all central banks are ALREADY coordinated through the Bank for International Settlements, which is why numerous central bank heads were at the BIS when the Brexit vote was underway.  What Draghi is pushing for is open centralization among the world’s central banks – the next step towards a single global central bank and a single global currency system.

For more information on why the elites desire an economic crisis and what they hope to gain from it, read my article ‘The Economic End Game Explained’.

In my prediction article I also stated in part reference to the Jo Cox murder:

…the goal may only be to perpetuate a longer term narrative that conservatives in general are a destructive element of society. We kill, we’re racists, we have an archaic mindset that prevents “progress,” we divide supranational unions, we even destroy global economies. We’re storybook monsters.

The murder of Jo Cox has had a minimal effect on Brexit polling numbers.  In the end, the elites may find Thomas Mair more useful as a mascot for the Brexit after the vote, rather than before the vote.

So now the Brexit movement, which is conservative in spirit, is labeled a “divisive” and “hateful group”, and if the referendum is triumphant, they will also be called economic saboteurs.

The concept of a dangerously volatile and destructive populist movement for sovereignty is being heavily pushed in the mainstream media. The racist angle is now being implemented, with the MSM warning that racism is on the rise in the U.K. due to the Brexit campaign.

Most if not all of the developments I warned of when I predicted the Brexit are also coming true.  So, if I am as correct about the motives behind the Brexit as I was correct about the outcome of the Brexit, here is what will probably happen in the coming months as the drama unfolds.

Federal Reserve Catch-22

All eyes will soon be on the Fed to see if the central bank behind the world reserve currency will take some kind of action to mitigate the possible negative effects of the Brexit.  The problem is, the Fed has created a catch-22 scenario here; not for them, they are happy to instigate an equities crisis as long as the timing is right.  Rather, they have created a catch-22 for the markets.

If the Fed raises rates to prove they can, stock markets will see this as a shock move and initiate a sell-off.  If the Fed lowers rates or institutes negative rates, the public will see this as an act of desperation and a loss of credibility.  Really, the only safe measure the Fed can take from now on is to do nothing.  I highly doubt that they will do nothing.  In fact, even in the face of the Brexit I still believe the Fed will raise rates a second time before the end of the year.  Why?  This is what the Fed has always done as recession takes hold.  Historically, the Fed raises rates at the worst possible times.  As with the Brexit, I am going to have to take the contrary position to most analysts on this.

Referendum Catch-22

The globalists have conjured an interesting paradox with the UK referendum.  Look at it this way; even if you believe that the globalists were “caught off guard” by the Brexit, one must admit that it is still in their best interest to initiate a crash.

First, the elites spent so much time warning of the doom that would befall the world if a Brexit vote succeeded, they must now fulfill their own prophecy or appear foolish and impotent.

Second, if globalists and the central banks they control act too aggressively to stall a market plunge, they are sending a message to all other EU nations that they should not worry about seeking their own referendums, because the central banks will save the day if they do.  More referendums mean exponential crisis in equities.  So, markets will crash if the central banks don’t act, and they will crash if central banks do act.

This is all an academic discussion, though, because central bankers fully intend for the existing system to at least partially crash.  They simply want to decide the pace of the implosion.  Most will do this through jawboning and minor policy maneuvers, but not much else.  The Federal Reserve is the only wild card in this equation.

Slow Grind Towards The U.S. Elections

While the Brexit vote is a considerable shock to global markets, and there is a likelihood of referendums in other European nations, I do not believe the Brexit alone is enough to cause the kind of economic crisis the elites are seeking.  There needs to be a one-two punch combo here, and the second punch has not arrived yet.

What form will it take?  I have no idea.  I do believe that with the Brexit drama in full swing, the timing is perfect for certain unstable EU banks, including Deutsche Bank, to announce insolvency.  This could be the next moment of shock.  That said, there are hundreds of possible trigger events ready and waiting to be exploited.

So far it would appear that equities markets in particular are in for a slow grind down (with sporadic but short lived rallies) going into the U.S. elections.  I would not expect much to happen until the Fourth of July holiday has passed and I would expect low trading volume to persist until then.  I believe that by the time November arrives the global economy will be in a clear and visible recessionary mode.  This does not mean a “collapse” in the Hollywood sense will be in full swing, but our fiscal structure will be visibly worse off to even the most oblivious citizens.

A Trump Presidency

In light of the Brexit I’m going to have to call it here and now and predict that the most likely scenario for elections will be a Trump presidency.  Trump has consistently warned of a recession during his campaign and with the Brexit dragging markets lower over the next few months, he will probably be proven “prophetic.”

Those who read my articles regularly know that I do not trust Trump and that I think his behavior signals that he is controlled opposition, but this is really beside the point.  Even if Trump is a legitimate anti-establishment conservative, his entry into the Oval Office will seal the deal on the economic collapse, and will serve the globalists well.  The international banks need only pull the plug on any remaining life support to the existing market system and allow it to fully implode, all while blaming Trump and his conservative supporters.

If Hillary Clinton, a clear establishment puppet, is the chosen one, and markets crash after her inauguration, then the establishment gets the blame.  However, if Trump becomes president, and markets crash, then conservative and freedom movements get the blame.

The mainstream media has been consistently comparing Trump supporters to Brexit supporters, and Trump himself has hitched his political wagon to the Brexit. This fits perfectly with the globalist narrative that populists and conservatives are killing the global economy and placing everyone at risk.

Sovereignty Is The Villain

Imagine that the economic and political events of our world are for the most part a cleverly staged piece of cinema. The globalists are writing a screenplay for that cinema and we are all supposed to believe that the movie we are watching is real life rather than an engineered fantasy. The Brexit in our story is an act of “evil sovereignty activists” and “right wing extremists” who lure ignorant people away from the light of globalism using “emotion” rather than logic.

These conservatives and populists promote barbaric principles of nationalism that no longer serve humanity in our age of “reason” and multicultural “civility.”  Globalism is the future and pro-sovereigns are holding the world back from “progress.”

This will be the narrative pressed in politics and social discussions from now on.  The story the globalists are writing is one of the terrorism of selfish freedom movements, how they brought the planet to the verge of complete collapse, and how globalism and collectivism finally “triumphed” and saved humanity.

Divisions Between Young And Old

An interesting and very manipulative propaganda campaign being put in motion around the Brexit is the idea that the U.K. referendum represents a division between older generations and younger generations.  The mainstream media argues that older generations in the U.K. that have already benefited from the EU are now “taking it away” from the younger generations and essentially screwing them out of their futures.

Anyone who understands the root failings of the EU and the fact that it has been on the edge of collapse for the past several years knows that such arguments are patently ridiculous. The EU has been beneficial to no one except in minor part to perpetually insolvent nations and peoples.  The EU aids these folks by stealing from solvent nations and peoples.  The Scottish were extremely anti-Brexit, for example, exactly because they have become a welfare dependent society and they know where their bread is buttered.  Most Muslim refugees aren’t flooding into the EU on the premise that they plan to start from scratch and work their way towards prosperity.  They march into the EU on the promise of free goodies.

Yes, according to recent polls around 73% of voters 18 to 24 years old supported the EU, but around 27% did not.  Does this 27% not count?  People aged 25 to 34 voted 38% in favor of Leave.  Anyone over age 35 was increasingly more likely to vote Leave.  Are people in their late 30’s now considered “old”?  This is hardly an example of the “old” destroying the precious collectivist futures of the young.

To claim that the Brexit was about young versus old is clearly a lie, but we should expect that this narrative will be pushed further.  The globalists need to own the minds of the next generation, and they hope to do so by blaming all their future economic woes on the kinds of sovereignty movements that voted for the Brexit.  The young are often desperate to believe that they are wiser than the old, desperate to assert their place in a world they don’t yet understand because they have little experience in it, and desperate to prove that new ideas (usually old failed ideas rehashed) are better than traditional ideas.  The elites know this, and are quick to con the young with the concepts of futurism.

The Long Game

The great weakness among economic analysts and many independent analysts is their refusal to examine the long game of the elites.  They become so obsessed with the day-to-day parade of stock tickers and the month-to-month central bank policy meetings that they miss the greater trends.  We can focus intently on each drop of water that makes up a tidal wave and forget that we are at the edge of the beach staring down death.

The Brexit is part of a globalist long game that is designed to finally and completely demonize sovereignty movements.

Think about it for a moment — what better way to remove the only obstacle in their path? The globalists create an economic crisis and then foster conditions by which their primary opponents (liberty activists) get BLAMED for it.  They then swoop in as the heroes of their little cinema after the damage is already done and offer their solution: complete globalization.  With enough people destitute from a global financial calamity, they may very well be begging the elites for help.  This is not to say that the elites will ultimately succeed (I believe they will fail), but that does not stop them from making the attempt.

I realize this is not what many in the liberty movement want to hear, but this is reality.  This does not diminish the value of a British movement for sovereignty, but it does demand that we temper our celebration and recognize when we are being targeted with fourth-generation warfare.  If we accept the fact that the Brexit is an event the elites plan to exploit for their own ends, then we can identify the threat and deal with it.  If we continue the delusion that the Brexit is some kind of slap in their face when it is not, then we allow them yet another weapon in their arsenal of propaganda.
